Heather: Is this right? Dad’s best friend as a child was Wilfred. He married Theo who is now with you at Alpine.

Audrey: Yes, we call him Bill. He and Theo had five boys.

Heather: Would you have liked to have all boys?

Audrey: No, it was fun to dress up little girls and they are so pretty. It was fun with kids, both boys and girls.

Heather: How were Crystal’s children different?

Audrey: Amber was different from everyone else. She was full of fun. She was very active. She never sat down. The rest of them rested from time to time, but not Amber. Now Martin, he was a good little kid and Belinda, she caused no trouble. The three of them seldom fought as kids.

Oh dear, I am so tired. I’ve got to hang up.

Heather: I’ll see you next Saturday. I’ll take you to Church on Sunday.

Heather: Hello Mother.

Audrey: Is today Saturday?

14 August 2004

Heather: Yes, we had to get you a new phone. The other one decided to cut you off more than have you talk. (laughter) Is this photo phone just the same as the other one?

Audrey: Yes, I believe so. It’s wonderful to have you call.

The lanky guy (Alpine’s custodian) is out cleaning up the yard. He seems to always be working. Crystal and Ernie took me around outside and put in my new phone. I’ve had a lovely time, going around, doing everything. I even eat breakfast in bed.

14 August 2004

Heather: That’s luxury living! (laughter)

Audrey: I guess so, having breakfast in bed. It’s sunny. Today is a beautiful day! There is not much wind. It is as sunny as it can be. I was watching weather on TV. There are storms in a lot of places. It was terrible.

I go everywhere in my (companion) chair.
